Any business that exports to Europe, will understand the importance of European pallets. Euro pallets or ‘EPAL Pallets’ as they are more commonly known, are required to be used to transfer products through quarantine inspection points entering or exiting Europe.  This could be via seaports, airports or road transport.

Export Pallets in Laverton, Melbourne, manufacture both new timber Euro pallets and recycled Euro pallets.

Our team have the knowledge and practical experience to assist you with all enquiries related to your export process. Considering the long distances that Australian products need to be transported, you need reliable pallets that are ‘fit for purpose’ and will make it through quarantine at the other end. Shipping goods to Europe on the wrong type of pallet can be very costly if they are returned, causing you to repack and reship. Contact  us today to discuss your business needs.

What defines a Euro Pallet?

A standard Euro pallet size is 1200 x 800mm.  They are 144mm high, with an approximate weight capacity being 1000kg. Keep to these standards, and it’s more likely your products will transfer smoothly through all entry and exit points through Europe. Additional information is available through the EPAL website.

For reference, 11 Euro pallets fit in a 20ft container, and 24 Euro pallets fit in a 40ft container.

Heat Treatment

All our Euro pallets are heat treated prior to sale. This temperature is high enough to eradicate pests and insects.  We supply you with an original certificate to show the ISPM 15 Compliance which will meet European standards.

International Quarantine Compliance

Every business requires smooth transfer of products through different countries. Any hiccups, can lead to costly delays. These can be made all the more difficult if there are different languages involved, and busy seasonal dates that come into play. Having the right size Euro pallet in good condition will certainly smooth the process in many respects.  If you’re not sure whether you require a Euro pallet for your stock movement, please get in touch and we can assist you.

FAQ’s :

Q1: Can I place bulk orders for Euro pallets?

  • Contact us for the best prices available. We can assist with both new timber pallets and recycled timber/plastic pallets for your European specifications.

Q2: Are Euro pallets suitable for heavy loads?

  • Yes, they are designed to handle heavy loads to a maximum capacity of 1000kg, with a four-way entry for forklifts. They are built using durable timber and reinforced structures. This is an important consideration as they will be used as both warehouse storage and for lengthy transportation.

Circular Economy

The environment and sustainability are at the heart of our business. We incorporate ways to help the planet wherever we can:

  • For heat treatment of all timber pallets, no chemicals are used. We have our own kiln on site and the pallets are heated to a very high temperature to kill all pests. This eco-friendly process is the best one available for the environment.
  • We recycle as many pallets as possible. The quality of our products is our top priority, so each recycled wooden pallet is inspected by one of our team members prior to sale.  Within this multi-customer use system, we encourage reuse wherever we can.
  • We reduce waste where possible, using existing timber that is available and suitable for manufacturing pallets.
