Broadening your business into the export marketing is an exciting time and exporting your products can lead to many new opportunities for your business! If you’re planning to export your products here’s what you need to know about the requirements for international shipping pallets.

Heat Treated Shipping Pallets

As most countries have restrictions on timber pallets one of the most important requirements for international shipping pallets is that the pallets used are heat treated.

Heat treating pallets kills any bugs in the wood and following the treatment the pallets can be stamped with ISPM-15 certification. Heat treated pallets help protect the world’s forests from the damages caused by introduced insects and other pests. Unlike other processes used to clear wooden pallets of bugs and pests, heat treatment doesn’t use any chemicals.
